Norsound has now attained Certifire Approval for the Acoustic / Smoke Seals NOR710, NOR710FR, NOR710SR and NOR720 CF 629. The products passed an air leakage test in accordance with BS 476: Part 31, Section 31.1: 1983 then subjected to 100,000 opening and closing cycles. On completion of the cycling the products were subjected to a second air leakage test.
What is Certifire?
Certifire is an independent third party product certification at a higher level, a quality mark, designed to enable manufacturers to demonstrate a difference between their products and those satisfying only the minimum requirement to be placed on the market. The main additional requirements for Certifire over and above attestation for CE Marking are ISO9001: 2000 certification, independent audit testing and a comprehensive field of application document based on carefully chosen tests.
